Dear Fatphobia/Thin Privilege deniers
This is a direct insight into what society thinks about fat people. That we should die, be ashamed, that we’re gross, immoral and useless. At best, figures of ridicule. Try it yourself. Try adding words like “do” or “can” instead of “should” or “are” and notice these aren’t…
Well umm… you just called yourself fat soooo…. defeating your own cause there a little? Maybe you guys should try finding a better synonym. “You guys” not being people who are “harder to kidnap” but everyone who reblogged and didn’t point this out. I probably seem a bit douchebaggish because i’m 6’3 and 132 pounds but I honestly think people should be happy and treated the same no matter the size of their clothes. No matter what, there are people who will hate you and/or make jokes about the way you look. Why not trying googling Mexicans? You’ll see some really racist shit pop up. Try blacks. You’ll get a bunch of kfc adds. You’re probably the same people who think the little “that’s racist” kid gif is hilarious.
My point is (and I understand that this post is to “raise awareness”) but in my opinion, you could’ve AT LEAST worded yourself differently. This is just the rantings of a sleep deprived 16 year old, pardon me if I have no place in the matter.Congrats on totally and utterly missing the point.
1. The Fat Acceptance movement reclaims fat as a neutral, descriptive word. Being fat is not a bad thing to be, and should not carry the baggage that it does that was placed upon it by society. Way to fucking language police police people. No word used to describe our bodies should carry such negative stereotypes and bigotry. Society, and especially those with thin privilege need to learn not to use words about us against us.
2. This post is not about racism. Myself and everyone else involved in social justice activism are very much aware of racism, and it’s effects. Way to attempt a round of Oppression Olympics.
LMAO this bitch is sooo mad.
